Being late is good.
I hate being late, and sometimes when this happens some people confuse me for being lazy. Well, today, nobody was there to tell that to me but I was being beaten inside by my conscience. Quick bathe, halitosis removal, make up (with kimbo like products-you can tell I was shining)…in whatever order.
Walk down to the new mess and I see the KBB leaving. Me nani, i hoped into the bus, since I got information that it was going to nai. If you don’t like free rides please stand up and kill the rest of population. I haven’t mentioned why the bus was leaving to Nairobi.

ok,their were the inter universities tournament going on at Kenyatta University, where over this weekend, the school was being represented by various teams, among them, the basketball, hockey women’s and netball teams. However, the bus didn’t make a final at KU. It continued to City Park. This is where the kimathi titans were to battle it out with parklands sports club, in a bigger league-the national men’s hockey league. Kimathi sat at 4th place before the game…and were still 4th place after the win. (Ok, i leaked it too early)

However the humiliation which the titans gave to parklands sports club was one I had waited for.
Parky, (as I will refer to them here), in the changing rooms seemed well fit, and mentally prepared to whoop some kimathi ass. You should have seen the meanness written all over.
Well, almost two minutes into the game, they confirmed their mission with one shot that hit the back of the board. However, it being my first game to watch, i was hopeful that the guys would reply. Try after try showed the spirited fight that the team carried, way from the changing rooms.
35minutes into the game was the end culmination of the 1st half with the titans having not equalized. They came from the changing rooms charged.
Goal one. Whoa. Classic goal it was that was farfetched and long awaited for. From the cheering in the crowd, you’d have thought that the whole of the lot of spectators was for Kimathi. Nwe, that’s beside the point.
Goal two… that was even more neat and organized. My cheering was taken to another level.

...”PAH”, goal three. Ok, that I didn’t watch since a female friend had come by me and…Well, you know the attention was divided. But the celebration wasn’t. A victory was now confirmed. One that I wanted, having sacrificed a lot to be their, including a date with a Miss KEMU.
Ok, i am not sure whether I sacrificed the date, or I just stood someone up.
70mins, a hoax of rain, and a few kashatas later, the game was over, and yes the team of titans had done me proud. I was elated. For me, it was a perfect pre-birthday gift.
Well done Kimathi titans, well done comrades.
I said I hate being late, so yeah; I was late in watching the titans earlier in the season, so I was also late in getting home.

MOUNT KENYA SEVENS DEBUTS.

Mount Kenya sevens received much hype days before it took down here at KUCT’s Dedans Park and as such a blasting event was expected out of it and for sure it didn’t disappoint. Rumours had it that the event would be streamed on youtube by the Google team but do I say. This was the first edition of the annual Mount Kenya sevens that brought together teams from five institutions including the host Kamathi University, Kenya Polytechnic, Catholic University, M.K.U and Nyeri technical. These institutions formed eight teams with the host having a larger share of teams, three of them; Dedans, Marshalls and KUCT select, as the rest formed the other five. The two day event kicked off on Saturday as from midday with a slow start as a result of lateness of some teams but the event picked up as the teams battled for the four cups; the main cup, shield, plate and bowl, starting out in the pools. The fan base was amazing notable guys being Mirii Karanja and the Andalas, a trio of three sisters Terry, Patricia and another of their sister.

Chics clad all colorful and I’m kinda sure guys had an amazing time appreciating God’s work and for the lucky one contacts exchanged. Day two marked the finals in various categories. The Marshalls bagged the shield while bowl and plate were won by Catholic University and Kenya Polytechnic respectively. The big day was for the monks who won the main cup presented to them in a colorful ceremony graced by the dean of students. The most valuable player went to Friday Alube who together with his twin brother Saturday raised eyebrows for their spectacular performance. The most promising player was Dedans’ Joseph Babere.

The crowd was not that psyched up though and the cheering wasn’t that much, you may say leading to the question does our local sporting need a revolution? Despite that downside, the event was largely successful and we appreciate everyone who took their time to make the event a memorable one.

LONG LIVE Mt KENYA SEVENS

The facebook page Campus Divas For Rich Men is page that has elicited alot of interest in the past few days.Since the debate on kiss 100 a few days ago by Shaffie Weru and Kalekye Mumo on the  rush hour as well as Caroline Mutoko’s morning show the page has grown wildly. It now has over 30,000 likes and is still growing. Is this a replica of what is really happening in our instituions of higher learning? Are the young ladies in this institutions this hungry for money, luxuries and a smooth life?Is the moral fabric this stained with wild thirsts and lust for money and pleasure?

The government having increased the number of universities in the country implies that now a higher population has access to the instituions.Introduction of parallel programmes and the accelerated university intakealso  implies that young kenyans who have not really matured emotionally and maybe mentally are now in the instituions where everyone is a guard of their live. But can we blame the government for this?It would be pointless to do so?So where does the problem lie?Who is to blame?

Searching for answers for this questions has brought me to a dead end. Some part of me would love to believe that the 30,000 divas out hunting for rich men is quite a  negligible number. But it is not.At what point does education have impact on ones life.Isn’t it pointless to be of great knowldge and no morals?

You be the judge but the group keeps growing, other groups against it keep sprouting an interesting one being Campus Hunks For Rich Women.

But one thing is for sure times have changed..and this is an E-brothel that I pray will die out soon enough. Bringham Young once said “when you educate a man you educate a man,and when you educate a woman you educate a generation”we should not allow generations to be destroyed by people  whose lives no longer have meaning.Take charge of your life look ahead, make wise choises ,make a change.

Apple sues Samsung

Apple has won its preliminary junction after U.S District Judge Lucy Koh approved it.

“Although Samsung has a right to compete, it does not have a right to compete unfairly, by flooding the market with infringing products,”Koh said on Tuesday.

Apple filed a motion for a preliminary injunction in May 2012, claiming Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 infringes on an i Pad-related patent. Apple also filed a similar motion against Samsung’s Galaxy S III in June.

Question is what is Apple upto ? Is it because Samsung Tab is a threat to the Apple’s i Pad and the iPhone 4s.
